Bring the beauty and character of African wildlife to your dining table with the Lady Clare African Animals Continental Placemats. This distinctive boxed set of four features four different African animal designs, beautifully presented against a rich Bottle Green painted background.
Inspired by the magnificent wildlife of Africa, each placemat features a different animal scene, giving every place setting its own individual character. The deep Bottle Green background complements the natural colors of the artwork, while elegant hand-gilded edges add the refined finishing touch for which Lady Clare’s Traditional Collection is known.
These handsome placemats are particularly well suited to a traditional dining room, study, library, country house or safari-inspired interior. Their combination of wildlife imagery, deep green coloring and gold detailing pairs beautifully with traditional china, crystal, silverware and natural wood furnishings.
Since 1932, Lady Clare has been known for creating fine English lacquered placemats, coasters and home accessories. Made in Great Britain, these African Animals Continental Placemats combine decorative artistry with traditional British craftsmanship and a durable finish designed for everyday dining and entertaining.
The hard-wearing lacquered surface is heat resistant, helping protect your dining table from hot plates and serving dishes. Lady Clare’s distinctive curved edges help reduce damage during use and prolong the life of the mats, while the soft green felt backing helps protect the table surface.
At approximately 15.5 × 11.5 inches, Lady Clare’s Continental size provides generous space for a dinner plate, flatware and glassware, making these an excellent choice for both formal dinners and everyday dining.
Presented in a gift box, the Lady Clare African Animals Continental Placemats also make an exceptional gift for wildlife enthusiasts, travelers, safari lovers and anyone who appreciates traditional English craftsmanship and distinctive animal art.
Pair them with coordinating Lady Clare African Animals Coasters, Small Placemats and Tablemats to create a beautifully coordinated collection.
